YOUR PERSONAL JOURNAL

Terms of Service

Last updated: October 23, 2026

Steady is a personal tool for recording habits and progress. These terms explain how you may use it and what you can expect.

Using Steady

These terms apply to Steady at app.buttered.org, operated by Toast. By creating an account or using the journal, you agree to these terms. Steady is intended for adults. Contact deleon729@gmail.com with questions.

Your account

Use an account you are authorized to access, keep your sign-in account and devices secure, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for the information you submit and the activity you authorize. Each account has its own journal.

Personal tracking, not medical care

Steady records information you enter and displays summaries. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent medical conditions, provide medical advice, or replace a qualified healthcare professional. Calorie totals, goals, and progress displays may be incomplete or inaccurate. Weight loss may not be appropriate for everyone; discuss health, nutrition, exercise, and weight changes with a qualified professional. Do not use Steady for emergencies or to make urgent medical decisions. Exercise calories are approximate population-based estimates of activity energy above rest, using recorded weight, time, and activity intensity. They do not increase your food calorie goal. Timeline dates and milestones are planning goals, not forecasts or guarantees. No particular weight or health outcome is guaranteed.

Your information and backups

You retain ownership of your journal content. You permit us and our service providers to process it as needed to operate, secure, and support Steady, as described in our Privacy Policy. Do not submit information you do not have permission to use.

Check that changes have synced, and keep exports of records you want to preserve. Unsaved edits may be lost when a browser tab is closed or a device fails. Backups and imports may require you to resolve conflicting edits. Steady is not a medical record system.

Acceptable use

Do not access someone else's journal without permission, bypass authentication, disrupt the service, upload malicious content, send automated abuse, or use Steady unlawfully. We may restrict or suspend access to address abuse, security risks, or violations of these terms.

Availability and changes

Steady is currently provided without a subscription fee. Features may change, and access may be interrupted for maintenance, provider outages, or other reasons. We may discontinue the service; where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to export your journal. Any future paid offering will have its pricing and terms presented before you are asked to pay.

Service limitations

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Steady is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted operation, error-free calculations, or suitability for a particular purpose. We are not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate entries, reliance on tracking summaries, or interruptions beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes obligations or rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

Leaving Steady

You can stop using Steady at any time. To delete your account and stored journal, open Goals & settings โ†’ Delete account, enter your email, and type DELETE ACCOUNT. All Steady device sessions are revoked. If identity cleanup is delayed by a service outage, it retries automatically. For other deletion requests, email deleon729@gmail.com from your account email address. We may verify ownership. Signing out or disconnecting Google alone does not delete your records. See the Privacy Policy for information about retained logs, backups, and local copies.

Updates and contact

Changes to these terms will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes will be communicated through the site where appropriate. Questions can be sent to deleon729@gmail.com.
